The first training for 2017 Solar Decathlon China (SDC) will commence in late July at Dezhou with the participation of more than 400 competitors from 47 universities of 10 countries. During the training, the Organizing Committee will arrange training in terms of site planning, agenda and rules of the competition. Meanwhile, as China's first industrial platform with solar photovoltaic technology as the core, SD Summit Forum will be opened at Dezhou with the participation of the experts and talents in fields including solar photovoltaic technology, smart home, estate development, electric vehicles and charging station, new-style building materials, smart grid, finance and venture capital investment, Internet of Energy and so on. Later on, the Organizing Committee of SDC will arrange the 22 united teams from 47 universities of 10 countries to pay a visit at Dezhou in order to make full use of local resources and facilitate the competition based on actual conditions.
The Dezhou government attaches great importance on the training. Chen Fei, vice secretary of municipal party committee and Mayor of the city stressed that all efforts should be made to seize the valuable opportunity of the competition and take advantage of the international platform in a bid to successfully organize the competition. All teams are required to clarify all tasks, take quick action, and do well in current work. With active preparations, we should spare no effort to successfully organize the first training for competition teams.
Solar Decathlon China(SDC) is designed to speed up the adjustment in energy structure, and promote the green energy-themed building technological competitions with universities in the worlds as participants. It is organized to take advantage of the technologies and ideas of the world's leading R&D and designing teams, tightly combine green energy and building design in a new manner, design, build and enjoy living spaces with complete functions, liveable and comfortable feeling and sustainable new energy application. It is used to demonstrate that the houses simply using green energy can reach the above goals.
